Silence and Peace

We hope all our family and friends have had a wonderful Christmas!

The Cowboy and I had a peaceful and quiet Christmas–it was perfect.  We made the decision to make this a stay at home Christmas and judging by the awful weather occurring in Montana, it was the right decision.

Christmas Eve morning we attended church, took a drive and spent time talking, reading and snoozing–enjoying our silence and peace.  Christmas Eve we enjoyed a delicious prime rib dinner cooked by none other than–me.

We’ve enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Day–plentiful sunshine and 72 degrees.  Again, we’ve had a laid back, relaxed kind of day.  I made a big breakfast–homemade biscuits even!  Late this afternoon we enjoyed homemade clam chowder–my first attempt at using Ainslie’s recipe and it was perfect!

So, again, we wish all our family and friends a Merry Christmas plus a prosperous and joyful New Year!

  1. Sounds like a lovely day. I envy you that 72 degrees…I don’t think it got much higher than 5 today and is down below zero now.

  2. You and Michael certainly deserved a couple days of relaxation:) Sounds like the kitchen was a busy place. Cooking with no pressure is so enjoyable. Merry Christmas, Michael, Janna, and Emmi!

    1. It was only the second time in 23 years for us Al–first was in Mexico one year and then this year. We are usually surrounded by friends/family which we also enjoy. This Christmas was pleasant and relaxing. We like that pumpkin wall too!

Already the before and after pictures, looking back, of your home and the whole place is amazing.
