Sergio and crew were finished with the stucco work shortly before noon today–we love the colors we chose–thank goodness! 🙂 And the new light fixture which Sergio installed–those guys are great!!
Although I think every day I’m almost finished with the painting, the Cowboy keeps finding things for me to paint! I finished the living/dining room today and the only room left to paint is the kitchen which will require lots and lots of taping! But, the Cowboy needs trim and doors painted–it’s never ending! He finished laying tile in the larger bedroom today–it looks great! Now for the grouting.
When Emmi and I went for a walk this morning we spotted nineteen deer–two of the deer were bucks with nice racks. It always amazes me to see deer out here–it just doesn’t seem to be deer habitat but unlike much of Arizona, we do have grass. Yesterday I stepped outside and heard a familiar sound–sandhill cranes! And not just one or two–
During a Montana summer we might see a couple pairs of sandhills feeding in a field but never, ever this many!
And who sent us this winter weather–I guess it is December and almost Christmas–right??? but dang it was cold out there tonight when walking Emmi!
And my granddaughters must have known I was yearning for photos–this one, Lora, found a pair of glasses and said, “look at me, I’m a grandma!”–all her grandmothers wear glasses! 🙂
And could this little boy get any cuter????
And all dressed up to visit Santa–Millee looks as if she isn’t too happy about the idea all ready!
And our oldest granddaughter, Kristen who just received her ACT test results–she’s smart, very smart and wants to study nursing.
Life is good, very good!
The house is beautiful!!!! Love the colors! Must feel so good to pull up and see such a sweet place. I can only imagine the noise with the cranes overhead. What a cool sighting. Such cute grandchildren:) Too bad Brooks and Millee don’t look like brother and sister…haha!

Your house is looking very Southwesty down there and for sure I like that color. I well remember those large flocks of Sand Hill Cranes overhead every day when we were doing our ranch sitting years ago.

Thanks Al! Days will go by and we won’t see any then a huge flock appears overhead. I guess the ranchers down here don’t like the sandhills–they eat too much of their grain!

The house looks Marvelous! And I would like to see that many cranes! We always had two flocks at a time

Well, you and the rest of the North Ranch gang will have to come down and see us and the sandhills!

Oh me of little faith! I’ve lurked since sometime at North Ranch, so I should have known you and the Cowboy did good work, but WOW! I love, love, love the look; the color’s perfect, and who’da thunk that little building could become a HOME!

The house looks like a lovely home! When painting was on my list it seemed like I had brushes and cans of paints around forEVER as there was always one more area to cover 🙂 The grandkids are all adorable.
